Jim Nissen, developer of the Nissen Contrary Index and Market Sentiment Barometer,
has a long history of developing analytical computer models. Nissen was a math
major at the University of Iowa, studied Economics and Finance at California State University, Los Angeles and graduate level courses in Econometrics and Computer Science at California State University of Fullertion. Nissen is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, an honor society of Economics.
Nissen was an officer of Security Pacific National Bank and served as President of the Los Angeles Bank Credit Association. He later left Security Pacific, to start Nissen & Associates of Fullerton, California. Nissen & Associates was a hedge fund specializing in option strategies in the listed options market.
Mr Nissen was privileged to speak at the Los Angeles Investment Expo with other guest speakers the included Dr. Alan Greenspan, Professor John Kenneth Galbraith and Eliot Janeway, among others.
For many years, Nissen has been an options specialist in the brokerage industry, inclkuding Merrill Lynch and Shearson. Nissen has been featured in numerous financal publications including Barron's. Nissen formed Quick Term Timing to aid short term stock traders, stock option traders, and stock index futures traders in their timing.
